A Floral Fairytale

Jacey Nesland, owner of Rustic Petals, has been passionate about flowers since she started working in a flower shop at the age of 18. “I knew art in some form would be where life would take me, and I found a way to spread my art/creativity in the beautiful medium of flowers!” she says. Her eye-for-detail and passion for anything that blooms results in a unique bouquet for every bride who walks through her door. 

To create a uniquely you bouquet, Jacey likes to have a consultation to go over exactly what you envision. Pictures of bouquets with the colors, flowers, greenery, or style you like are encouraged at this meeting. Jacey also likes to know other details about the wedding such as the bridal party colors and other decor details, so the floral arrangements she puts together are exactly what you pictured (and, hopefully, even a little better). It also helps to have a list of everyone who will need flowers and if you want any other floral arrangements. Knowing exactly what you need helps Jacey put together a budget conscious proposal. The earlier out you can schedule a consultation the better, but last-minute brides are still welcome. “Shot gun weddings are exciting and fun,” Jacey jokes. “A small deposit is required to secure your date, and we like to make the process as easy and simple for our couples as possible.” 

If you aren’t exactly sure what you want style-wise, you can trust Jacey to come up with a stunning floral arrangement using her creative freedom and expertise. “Many of my brides and clients simply give me a vision and a color scheme and let me do my thing and run with it. Those, I find, are the most fun and where I am my most creative. They trust me with their vision, but also trust my professional opinion,” says Jacey.
