Open for over 40 years, White Lace Bridal is an iconic bridal boutique in the Bismarck area. With a large inventory of dresses in a wide range of sizes and prices, a consulting staff extremely knowledgeable in the industry, and a beautiful downtown storefront, it’s no wonder generations of families shop for their wedding dresses at White Lace Bridal.

White Lace Bridal was recently purchased by a new owner, Rachel Hornbacher. Rachel’s passion for life events both big and small has always been evident. “I was always the friend that would host game or movie nights for my friends and church,” she recalls. “I loved planning all of the details and intrigues of a large event.” Rachel is no stranger to White Lace Bridal. She started working at White Lace Bridal long before assuming ownership and fell in love with the wedding industry. “It is just a big day in a couple’s journey and can really stand as a symbol of their love and marriage!” she says. “While continuing to work at White Lace, I went back to school online to get an education in wedding planning.” Rachel managed White Lace Bridal for six years, opening an event planning agency Dreams to Meet in 2020, before stepping back from White Lace to focus fulltime on her event planning business, Dreams to Meet. “When I left White Lace in 2022 to take more weddings on the weekend, I knew my journey with White Lace was not over,” describes Rachel. When the previous owner of White Lace reached out to Rachel about purchasing the store, Rachel was excited to combine her event planning business with White Lace and create a one-stop shop for brides. “I was so excited to step back into bridal and help brides from gowns to planning. Being able to combine the two businesses is a dream,” Rachel says.

White Lace Bridal has been a mainstay in the Bismarck area for over 40 years. “We hear all the time from moms and grandmas that they purchased their gowns back at White Lace and had to come with their daughters,” describes Rachel. Their extensive tenure in the community speaks to their commitment to high-quality products and service. “Another aspect that sets White Lace apart is our inventory,” explains Rachel. “We have over 300 bridal gowns in our inventory, ranging from size 4-28, and pricing can range from $899-$3000.” There is something for everyone at White Lace Bridal.

Another reason brides continue shopping at White Lace is their consultants who offer a wealth of knowledge and who love to make each bride who walks through their door feel special. Besides Rachel, White Lace has two fulltime employees, Cate and Jada. Cate is their dedicated manager, a true expert with a decade of experience in assisting brides. “She revels in the unique challenges each day brings and is passionate about helping people navigate significant life decisions, a commitment that also shines through in her real estate career. Affectionately known as ‘sparkle queen,’ she brings a touch of magic to everything she does. Married in 2021, she and her husband are proud parents of three wonderful children,” describes Rachel. Jada has been a valued member of the team since 2023. “With her outgoing personality and keen attention to detail, Jada has naturally become our tuxedo coordinator. As a plus-size girl herself, she excels at making every bride feel and look their best,” says Rachel. Originally from North Carolina, she moved to ND with her family and met her partner. The two have been together for a loving three years and share their home with two adorable pups.

Since taking over ownership of White Lace Bridal, Rachel has expanded their services. “White Lace has always offered bridal, tuxedos, mothers, flowergirls, and bridesmaid dresses,” says Rachel. “Our new services offer planning services and speciality bridal appointments. Our store recently got our complimentary liquor license, so we can provide brides with elevated bridal appointments.” The store itself has undergone a refresh and expansion. A distinct retail counter creates separation from the bridal areas, providing guests with more privacy. Updated flooring brightens and modernizes the entire store. Dressing rooms are no longer the traditional walled dressing rooms, but a curtain design which allows for larger dressing rooms as well as makes space for an additional bridal suite. The lower level is now a dedicated sales area, where budget-conscious brides can enjoy a memorable and elevated shopping experience. “We can’t wait to welcome you into our newly transformed space and help bring your bridal vision to life,” says Rachel.

Purchase of a bridal gown comes with many perks. Perks include discounts on menswear, bridesmaid dresses, mother dresses, flower girl dresses, bridal accessories, gown preservation, and event planning packages. More information can be found at www.whitelacebridalnd.com
